Does the XPS M1210 have a built in Microphone ?

Quick question ...

I just purchased a XPS M1210 but I did not opt for the A/V package with the webcam.

Does anyone know if it will still have a built in microphone ?

unfortunately no... the mic is located next to the webcam on the av package...

If ur desperate, u can custom make an internal mic by using the jack and re-routing it to a small mic. I don't recommend it, if your not electronically minded. (just a work of warning, it might void ur warranty)

Thanks folks for the reply ! I would have liked the mic but oh well. I don't suppose Dell will let me call and add the A/V package into the order now, will they ? The system hasn't shipped yet ... it shows an "in production" status.
