hot inverter for Inspiron 8500 replacement LCD

Thread Starter
I have replaced the LCD on my Inspiron 8500 with a WUXGA LCD display bought from eBay. It works fine, but I notice the inverter feels rather warm. I did not notice this before the old LCD went bad, but I never really felt the bottom of the screen to see if it was warm. So maybe this is supposed to be that way. Or maybe the higher resolution screen makes the inverter hotter?

Does anyone know if this warmth is normal?

Those of you who have this model, could you feel the word "Dell" at the bottom front of the LCD, and let me know if it feels noticeably warm?

Thanks in Advance.

The issue with the 8500 is that it vents a lot of heat due to the Pm4 it uses. That not this will effect the screen so you really shouldnt worry about it.
