I recently purchased a new Acer 9410 that came with the Intel 943GML express video chipset. I have downloaded all of the latest drivers and updates, but when I attempt to play WoW the screen will go black for a few seconds then respond. After minimizing the game the onboard alert states that the chipset "has stopped responding, but has recovered". The problem automatically contacted for support, but came up with nothing that fixed the issue. I emailed Acer, asking if this model's chipset was upgradeable. Nope. Is there a solution such as installing another set of drivers, perhaps not for the 943GML express, or some trick other than waiting for intel to write more code to fix the problem? Could overheating be the reason the chipset is not responding? I have the game settings on the lowest as well as as much RAM as my machine will hold to minimize problems and work load. Any help or ideas would be welcome.
