They list the RAM for the GPU at 511 MB. It is 256 MB of dedicated and 255MB of shared if you have 2 GB of RAM for the system. So don't be fooled by the numbers!

Here is a website someelse posted that gives a comparison of the 8600M GT against the 7600go with numbers for all of the 8M line.

Anyone know if theres a chance they might put the 8600M GS on the dv6500t by the time August rolls around (best offered right now is 8400M GS)? I'd be all over one of those.

Otherwise I'd go with the dv2500t since the 8400M GS in a 14.1 incher would be pretty nice.

So can the 383MB NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS or the 8600m gs graphics card play command & conquer 3 and would be able to play the new starcraft thats coming out?

I'd like to know why the 9500t does not offer the GT. I just purchased the T7300 with the 8600M GS.
