I'm glad I'm only getting Widescreen to save money, I see no advantage what-so-ever. I don't watch many movies.

WTF were they thinking in creating widescreen?

I like widescreen movies and all, but its the fact that i would buy one of these laptops for gaming, and since gaming is not totally compatable with widescreen i dont want to have to fight the computer every time i get another game and force it to work widescreen or have to deal with black bars while gaming. I dont mind black bars in movies since i know that was their original format. But for games ive always played full screen and want to continue playing full screen (personally i dont care if that means widescreen or 4:3, but as long as its full screen).

I think a large majority of the newer games are made for widescreen, so there is no stretching or black bars. I would go with the 16.1, but I can't justify the $673, plus the 15.4 has a better refresh rate from what I've heard. And as mentioned before, there are black bars on movies, even on the widescreen, so that's no real advantage either.

Its a response time not a refresh rate!
sorry!

AS for the $673 for the 16.1 that is outragous Im glad I got mine when it was only $366 for the upgrade. But I love my 16.1in screen both games and moives look great on it! It would be cool to game in widescreen though!

When you get old, your mind starts to wander and confuse things, then senility sets in. It can't be long now.

Just thought I would bump this if Fender084 is still out there.

The Sager 5690 is now available in 4:3
