My R40 which is 4 1/2 years old has a problem. The connector in the laptop that the pwr cord plugs in to is bad (loose and not making a good connection). If I hold the pwr cord to one side I can get a connection. I have 2 pwr supplies and it is the same with both.
I am looking for an inexpensive way to correct as this is an old laptop and will only now be used as a spare.
1) Can this part be purchased and if so how difficult is it to install
2) if I buy a replicator with this solve the problem? I thought a replicator might work because the pwr cord would plug into the replicator & the replicator would feed the lap top from the connection in the bottom.
Any help would be GREAT
