Reformatting my 7700 - should I donwload newer chipset drivers first?

Dear all

I'm biting the bullet and reformatting my hard disk after various problems(some virus related :-( ) have caused my system to become unstable. I've read up on the procedure, and downloaded the newest video drivers for installation but I was wondering if there was any need--or simply benefit--to installing newer chipset or other drivers as provided on the Alienware utilities cd? I've had a quick search for updated versions on the web but nothing was immediately obvious to me...anyone with any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Actually, I'm now confused as to just what chipset my motherboard is running - is it Intel 915 Express? Are all d900t boards running the same?

support.alienware.com should give you the most recent drivers for everything, and I would highly recommend you use them. If they cause issues, then go back to older versions from the CD.
