Problem installing Media Extender for XB360

I had no problem when I was running Vista, but now that I've switched back to XP, the world does not want me to stream to the xbox 360. I try to install the extender software on my pc and it tells me that first I need to install rollup 2 or whatever for MCE2005. When I try to install THAT, it tells me that i need to be running Microsoft .net Framework 1.1 and have the .net service pack installed. I am running .net 2.0 though. I've looked around for a while now online, and now I'm just really confused. I can't be the first person that's run into this problem.

.net Framework 1.1 and 2.0 are different you must install 1.1 if it asks for it.

Problem solved. Thanks!
I could have sworn that when i went to the microsoft website to get the 1.1 framework, it gave me the installer for the 2.0 framework. But my cousin had an install for 1.1 and it worked.
