Hello, I have an Asus S96j I bought from gentech about year ago and at first I was pleased with it (my first laptop after about a dozen years of building my own desktops) but increasingly it has become an annoyance for me. The audio jack is going out on it now, the internal speakers are useless, the screen isn't that great, the keyboard and touch pad is of low quality, and the FN button placement is annoying. The worst thing really is the keyboard which drives me crazy as I write a lot. It does have a decent GPU, but I really don't care anymore and would almost rather just have better battery life. I was thinking I could buy another VBI barebones and just swap the parts, how simple would that be? Is there a barebones that has a much higher quality construction, especially the keyboard and display?
