Pashonic, if it bugs you that much - send it in for repairs. Then when you get it back, you might slightly loosen the screw that causes the lid to be rigidly upright. Use both hands to close the screen/lid and you may be less prone to any cracking (unless it is an engineering fault in which case a replacement should cure it).

Shut up, I'm just trying to make Sager feel bad. Trying to see if they really care about their customers.

Flambe' anyone?

Call Sager if you want to get their attention. You are more likely to get better results that way. Shut Up - Never..... And you can't make me (na na n na na) ....

Manually loosening the screws to adjust rigidity is a good idea. Could anyone post instructions? I see at least 4 screws holding the front bezel in place. I'm guessing I'd have to remove the bezel to get at the rigidity screws. After that, which ones are the rigidity screws?

My 5670 is doing it too. when I replaced the latch on mine. There was no way to adjust the hinge. It's a captive pin. maybe lube it or something, but you can't adjust it.

Not sagers fault, its a design flaw. The deisgners are NOT sager, they are clevo. Sager is just a Clevo reseller, they but the chasis from them and put everything in the barebone case. Sager however takes care of the support end. Any one to blame for the cracks is Clevo , not sager. Since sager did not design or build the chasis themselves. ill run mine till it drops, if it gets any worse ill ship it back to sager for a replacement. But i hate shipping things back and forth, so i wont touch it unless it gets really bad.

This appears to be a problem only with the 5xxx series. Anyone with one of the other models have any problems with cracking?

This is not the attitude welcomed on our forums. Your count is 6 people with this problem and my count is well over 1,000 people that frequent these forums that own this model of laptop. Sager has proven many times they take care of people. I see no reason why they wouldn't for anyone that had a crack in the plastic if they're contacted for help. So, don't try to push people and companies around with posts putting them in a bad light to get attention. PR games can be left @ the door.

The problem is being discussed in the tech support section and there's no reason to spam the forums with it.
