why does my scroll just stop working all of a sudden. It happens more often than not. Really can be annoying when browsing the internet. THen it suddenly works. WTF??? as i am writing this it currently work, but 30 seconds ago, i couldn't scroll using my touch pad (neither the physical buttons nor the right hand side of the touch pad).

Anyone, kknow what causes this? MAKE IT GO AWAY!!!

Forgive me if this is fairly elementary, but you may not know. If the window you're looking at isn't active, scrolling won't work. Eg. if you alt-tab between programs, some stay active even if "hidden" by the browser. If it doesn't work, click on the page somewhere and try again.

That being said...

That being said, sometimes popups in the background interfere as well. And if you have Internet Explorer setup like mine, and you are prompted with "This website requests to store a cookie on your computer. Allow or block?" and you dont' notice it and it gets hidden behind the window, then this is also the case.

Zach, try reinstalling the touchpad drivers. I think they're on Sager's site. Worth a try...

Mozilla has compatibility issues

As my title says, Mozilla has compatibility issues when certain websites that I need to use that are school related. I find nothing wrong with internet explorer, especially when running the google toolbar, which I enjoy. I have my internet explorer setup the way it is because certain websites I find cookies helpful, and certain websites I don't want cookies.

I found the use of "duh" to be rather unnecessary.

EDIT: Compatibility is also why I run a duel boot with Windows and Linux. Though I am very old fashioned in my computing habits, I really enjoy the Windows XP interface and compatibility. But when I have work to do, it's back to the solid and mighty linux.
