Recently my Laptop will not hibernate (close lid, or press hibernate). No error message comes up, actually nothing happens (I just did it before i did this post, the computer works as if I didnt do anything). I checked all the power settings, disabled re-enable reboot etc.... but it still wont work.

Here's what Im running:
XP SP2
T2500
2ghz
1gb ram

Do you have enough space on the HD?
I have 2gb of ram on my laptop and when I tried to enable hibernate when I had a little over a gig in free space on the HD, my laptop behaved the same way.
Even if you're only using a fraction of your ram, XP needs to hog up the same amount installed on your machine.
Made me disable hibernating. Waste of 2 gb in my case.

I got about 2.5 GB availible right now. I wonder what would cause this problem.
