5680 non-power-up / sager advice

Just a sanity check to make sure this isn't something obvious:

My 5680 which arrived last week won't boot up if it was shut down with AC power connected. The orange AC light just flashes green for a second, then off, then back to orange. The fans or disks don't spin up. Disconnecting and reconnecting AC allows it to start. Same story with battery in or out.

Anyone experience this problem and figure out how to fix it?

Sager agreed to cross-ship a replacement last week, since it was defective on arrival, but failed to send a form required for the credit card deposit, and are unresponsive to messages left / sent. PCTorque can't get a response from them either. So now I'm wondering what to do. Should I hang on for news from Sager or request an RMA for refund before the 30 days runs out?

I am having a similar problem with my very new 5680. Every now and then it fails to boot. I have to remove one of the memory modules under the keyboard, boot it, shut it down, and then reinstall the stick. I am going to be running a memory tester later today to determine which memory module is bad. Could be you have one also because it is almost certainly the cause of my failed boot attempts. But now that you mention it maybe disconnecting and reconnecting AC might help me too. Hmmm...
