Dell Latitude 630 - Discreet Graphics and 7200rpm?

A few questions for recommendations:

I have basically decided upon getting a Latitude 630, rather than a Thinkpad T60 or T61. A lot of th usage will be general computing and sometimes programming (Matlab), but I also do some intense video editing (Sony Vegas or Adobe Premiere) and graphics (Photoshop). I would like to do some traveling, hence battery life is important, but not critical.

1) Is it worth it to get a 7200rpm hard drive rather than the 5400rpm? I understand the 7200rpm are faster (have heard negligibly faster to much faster, from various people), but my main concern is how much will that eat up the awesome battery life the 630 boasts?

2) Considering I do not plan on ever using this machine for games, and minimal 3D artwork (but lots of 2D stuff), is it worth getting the discreet graphics card option, or should I just stick with integrated? I understand Premiere does tap into the GPU for extra speed - so is it worth it?

3) Can the Bluetooth receiver be turned off easily? I don't have any Bluetooth devices currently, but thought I may in the future... But until then, I don't want to be wasting battery power with the antenna always activated.

Thank you!

1) This is always a hard decision and it seems to be a personal choice thing. If your used to a 7200rpm drive then borrow a notebook and load up some files and see if you can tell a difference.

2) Depends on how often you use the 3D apps, best way to decide if the integrated will work is to borrow someones notebook w/ integrated install Premiere use it and see how well it works for you.

3)Yes I'm sure the bluetooth can be turned off.

To add to the above, also:

1. Impact on battery life is minimal. Yes it is spinning faster requiring more juice... but it doesn't have to spin for as long. Not a big enough difference to worry about. Personally I would choose the faster option...

2. Agreed with above. But practically you would be better going with the discrete option... if you choose the integrated option now you are stuck, because there is no way to upgrade it later without swapping out the entire motherboard. So that is your call.

3. Easily done.
