Well, I decided that Directx 9 is not for me. Unfortunately, I don't have a DirectX 8.1a or whatever installer. Does anyone out there know where I can download it? I've done some googling, without luck. Also, Microsoft aparently doesn't want to take up hard drive space with the last "stable" version of it's product. Thanks.
btw, I did nuke Directx 9 with "directx buster", so uninstalling's not a prob for me.
