Take a look at the list of tools over at VideoHelp.com. You really don't give enough information like source, desired end product, your skill level, etc. With the list of tools you can judge for yourself.

i usually download videos/movies from the net... so that means it is usually downloaded by part... not full download. how can i put this parts together so when i watch it, it wont jump to a second or a third part. any software you want to recommend me to use? something user friendly, not difficult to use. thanks.

Hopefully you've heeded the advice above and visited videohelp.com. One of the best resources I've ever discovered on the www's. The particular program you need will depend on what file format you are downloading. And if you are downloading from the interwebs, I'll go out on a limb and assume you are running across all sorts of formats and flavors (mpeg, avi/divx/xid, qt, etc.) I've yet to run across one program that does it all, but search that site for a splicer for the file format you are dealing with and I'm sure you'll find adequate freeware/shareware to get the job done with very little hassle. And fess up, we all know you want to string together your pr0n collection

I believe ffmpeg will do most if not all of this actually. But given most things it does require a bit more knowledge than your average user friendly app so it may not be appropriate here.

there are many free video editing softwares ..google it...

There is a free video editing software that comes with every windows OS, It's the windows Media Movie Maker. Although it is easy to use, I recommend a payware software due to its functions.

There has been much debate on which is the "best" video editing software and both are pretty costly: I narrow it down between Sony Vegas and Adobe Premier. I use Sony Vegas, I tried Adobe Premier on my brother's computer but it seemed a bit complex for my taste (that and I also didn't really give it a chance) but if you want to see the functions before you make your purchase, you can go to youtube and type in Sony Vegas tutorials or Adobe Premier tutorials and see the layout and functions of it.

I once used one video editor, but I forget the name of the software, I just remember that it can merge, split video files, and it has other functions like multiple trimming, rotation (90, 180, 270, 360 degree), cropping and watermark adding, etc. You can google it, there are so many video editor online. you can refer to the tutorial to check whether it is user friendly. Good luck.

You have just described what a video editor is essentially. Pretty much every video editor out there should do all the things you mentioned.

Wonders why people are still replying to a several year old thread.

How about this video editor?
It's a new released one named video studio express, and it has windows and mac version now. It's now free, but offers free trial.
