Question about ordering a Sager Notebook

Hello, I am about to order a Sager NP 5760, and I happen to need it fast because I am leaving for a trip in about a month. Is it faster to order the laptop through the online retailer: www.SagerNotebooks.com, or through a reseller like www.pctorque.com? Also, if anyone has ordered from either the retailer or a resseler site, how long did it take to ship out?

-thanks

Your best bet is to call the re-sellers like pctorque or xoticpc and see if they have any in stock, if you aren't going to change the standard hardware then I'm sure you could get it in less than a week. The 5760 comes w/ good specs standard so if you need it fast then this may be the way to go.

Thanks for the response, I just emailed PCT. But I will be changing the standard configuration a little bit, im thinking of adding a bigger hard drive and more RAM. I hope that wont delay shipping to much.

For that model we like to tell our customers to allow 2-4 days of build time, from the time your order is charged, depending on customization and parts availability. After that is is dependent on your shipping options like ground, 2day, overnight etc. That said it is not uncommon to have your order go out within 1-2 days of submission, we can also expedite it if necessary. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks.

All Sager resellers products are built at Sager and shipped from there as well. If Sager has them in stock then they are shipping from all resellers. The only places that are exception to that are places like Alienware that order all their stuff direct from clevo and not another OEM.

Heya, I just ordered a 5760 from Sager on Tuesday. They called Wed at lunch to let me know it won't be ready until next week as I had gotten the overnight shipping. Was hoping to get it before the weekend but no big deal. Can't wait to try it out, have had a 9860 for the last 3 years before it became a paper weight due to the voltage regulator getting toasted. Everything I've read points to some very happy owners of the 5760's so I'm very looking forward to it.

I have ordered 2 Sager from Discount Laptops and both were ordered when the credit card tranaction went through. They were shipped from Sager are a couple of days for burning in. Which is a good thing for checking for dead pixels and other flaws. Then it was shipped from Sager in California. Discount Laptops is located in Las Vegas.
