Yep, hopefully it's just a matter of weeks for the early birds.

Well If the M9750 does not ship this month I am going to cancel and continue to use my current lappy and desktop. The main reason is that the DX10 vid cards will be comming available. And with the current vid cards offered by alienware for $600 a piece and the release of santa Rosa. I am thinking why not wait? With $4k invested into a lappy It should last for a few years. I am thinking that with all the delays and AW's wish to have the baddest lappy on the planet why not include these items? I have been following the game Crysis and its something that I would really like to Play with full options enabled One should expect that from the best gaming "desktop replacement". Processors I dont know crap about But It seems to me that With the release of DX10 on the horizon and Nvidas Lack of supplying SLI drivers for vista Why Invest in dual vid cards only to have to replace them in 3 months If in fact you are buying this for a gaming laptop. Sure the current config will shred with the current games on the market but we are talking what 6 months till the DX10 optimized games hit the market? I know there is always the Bigger Better system just around the corner. But since there has been so many delays and its not Officially released yet Why not push back the release of the 9750 for an additional 2 months and utilize the DX 10 cards? Or are they saving that for the Ridiculous mALX refit? Sorry I have had too much time to consider the possibilities and My brain usually gets in the way. I have conceded that if the M9750 ships before July I will be OK but one more delay and I will cancel and Wait for the DX10 compatable system. Anyone else have the same feelings or concerns?

Honestly, there's no reason I can think of that DX10 won't be compatible with many different chipsets...it's more a feature of the OS and the video hardware/firmware than what chip is running your computer. That being said, although games are going to be using features of DX10 within 6 months, I don't expect to see any games that require DX10 for at least a couple of years. Not everyone is able to upgrade their computers every year, and gaming companies are aware of that. If I had the option, I would probably wait...but I've been waiting to get a laptop for at least a year, and I figured now was the time to buy, before I go more crazy.

I've also put off buying a laptop for so long that I'm not prepared to wait any longer just to be on the bleeding edge of technology for an extra 6-9 months. Especially if that means dealing with Vista and its current myriad of issues.|
I agree with you guys. If the laptop is delayed till August I might as well cancel and order the m9750 when it's offically released. Perhaps other color options will be available too... But Steath Black is Bad @SS!
