M45-S169 wireless card (atheros) detection post-install (windows)

Hello,

I made a fresh install of Windows XP SP2 on my laptop. Unfortunately, I accidently left the wireless card turned off when I installed. Now Windows can't detect the wireless card. I checked in the Device Manager and it doesn't list the card (though I believe there are a couple of devices not yet identified). I do have the drivers installed.

The card does work. I'm using PCLinuxOS 2007 to send this post, and I'm getting download speeds of 230KB over the library's wireless.

Does anybody have an idea as to how to force XP to detect the card?

Try dowloading the actual drivers from Toshiba, turn the card on and run the installer.

Yes, that's what I've done already. The drivers are from Toshiba. The problem is not with the drivers-- the problem is with Windows. Windows detects that there is an ethernet controller which does not have drivers installed (I've checked and the wired NIC is properly set up). However, Windows doesn't detect that the ethernet card is the Atheros wireless card.
