Hey folks,
I have almost no electronics experience, but I just repaired a friend's Dell 5160 AC Jack. In a nutshell, remove the motherboard completely per Dell's instructions. Then remove and resecure the jack on the motherboard with a drop of solder on each of the prongs (see picture below). Be sure to work the solder through the board such that it makes complete contact. Reverse the directions for motherboard removal, and you're done.
