For 17" widescreen users that play NWN??

Ok I finaly got some time to play my neverwinter today... I tested it when I first got my machine, but haven't had time since to play...

So here is my question... does anyone else see banding in video gradients in NWN... Like I have the hordes of undertide expansion so when you go to choose if your playing multiplayer, new game, load game, etc... The red swirling vitex does not show as smooth clouds on mine... It looks seriously banded... I didn't notice this during the testing... My regular movies play fine.... I open high end and low end graphics with crazy gradients and even created clouds like in the game and they view beutifulyyy darlings... I even turned off lappy for 5 hours *shuders** and then turned it on and went directly to the game and I still see banding in the movie clouds and select gradient areas that are large...

Am I nuts here? Do other 17" widescreen users with perfect screens observe this? Is it just the game.. Or have I inadvertantly messed up a setting?

Not panicking yet.. But I have to know... you know...

Thanks

I have NWN, but my 8790 won't show up for another 2 days. The 2 expansions for NWN are both w/ the 8790, so I should be able to give you confirmation from my machine at least what I'll be seeing in the same situation.

Since ev'thing else is A-OK, perhaps it's the way that the game was made. Perhaps that particular graphic just wasn't created equal?

Yeh I don't have the first expansion just the second... I would apreciate it... On my crt's it is cool, I have never owned a panel screen so this is a new area to me... I have always opted for exceptional crt's since they are more cost effective so would rather male room for the crt's...

HMmm maybe I will in the meen time of waiting for responces plug in my crt to this baby....

I refuse to believe that Kesh and I are the only NWNers on here. The rest just haven't come out o' the closet

Quit using IE and you won't have to worry about pop-ups. I forgot that they existed long ago.

Or Don't have an 8790 or other 17" Widescreen yet. I play Neverwinter on my PC, and hooked my Dad on the game in December. His 15.4 showed no banding issues.

NWN looks just fine on my 4780. No banding at all.

OK I installed it and am running it at 1440x900 and it looks excellent, no problems. Looks awesome at widescreen!
