I am curious about what to do here. I just got in the mail today a copy of Acer Vista upgrade after I have been running a copy of the Retail Vista Premium for several months now. I have no interest in upgrading to the Acer Vista except to fix a couple problems;
1. The screen brightness is pretty weak and I read the new Vista Bios fixes that. I would upgrade the Bios now but the Retail version doesn't like the Vista bios.
2. The volume is really weak again. I remember downloading a new driver on XP that made it loud but have no such luck with Vista.
Does anyone know if the Acer Upgrade will partition my hard drive. I spent several months trying to figure out how to delete the partition and don't want to see that ugly thing again. Also, does the Acer Vista format the harddrive back to FAT32??
If anyone is familiar with these issues it would be great to get feedback on here. This forum is great and appreciate any comments. Thanks in advance.
