Intel Celeron M 430 vs. AMD XP-M 3000+

Hello,
I currently have a laptop with a AMD XP-M 3000+ CPU, I'm satisified with the performance of the laptop but the screen, the battery and some other things are getting worse.

Therefore I'm thinking of buying a new budget laptop. I've found one with an Intel Celeron M 430 CPU.

If you ignore the other specifications of the notebooks (they are similar) and just see to the CPU, will a Intel Celeron M 430 preform as good or better as an older AMD XP-M 3000+?

They should be about the same. The Celeron should run cooler though.
