Sager NP2090 vs Latitude D830

Thread Starter
I'm pretty much set on either the Sager NP2090 or the Latitude D830. The Sager has a more powerful video card (I think), but I'm not sure about the reliability of the support/waranty/product itself. The Dell would be a little more expensive configured to the same specs that I want.

As of now, I'm leaning more to the Sager, but I could go the other way

The notebook would be used for light gaming (oblivion on low settings and resolution), light photoshop, word processing, and Finale music software.

If its for light gaming, I'd go for the Dell as the Sager is way to powerful for your needs. Im looking at that same notebook [Sager NP2090 SUPRA] for powernotebooks.com. Donald is great.

on second thought, go for the sager, its cheaper and more powerful, even if you don't need it right now.

do not order it directly from sager, the service would probably be pretty bad, along with most big companies.

powernotebooks and xoticpc.com are very good places to order from with good prices and service.

The 2090 looks sick. If you decide to go with the Sager, order from a reseller as lawlz recommends. Typically the prices are lower this way. But as far as the service goes when dealing with Sager directly, they aim to please and tend to be very accomodating. They are by no means a large company, lol.

Doesn't matter who you get Sager's from the repair work is done by Sager and not the reseller. If you have to send your pc for repair the reseller will refer you to Sager to get a RMA number.

All warranty works are done by Sager. But this model is made by Compal. The quality and reliability is superb. Buy Sager, get faster system and pay less...

Do resellers like xoticpc and powernotebooks ship internationally? I know Sager does but it's something like $240 to have them ship where I want..
