Treo 700wx and Dell 355 bluetooth

Thread Starter
I'm trying to use activesync to sync my treo 700wx dumbphone with my 9300. Both devices can see each other. I have an incoming and an outogoing port setup on each. I've deleted and readded ports and partnerships several times, but I cannot get activesync to actually connect to the phone over the specified port.

I'm using the driver for the 355 downloaded from dell.

When I try to sync from the phone I get the message, "Cannot find an existing bluetooth partnership with a PC that supports activesync. Would you like to set up a partnership now?"

I follow the prompts and have deleted and created new partnerships several times.

When I set activesync to connect to the port, the port is opened automatically and the little bluetooth icon in the tray turns green. The icon on the phone also changes color during this process, but in the end activesync fails to actually communicate with the device.

Anyone else try this?
