Hello all,
Just a few random questions.

I was just wondering how many of you macbook users leave your computer on '24/7'

I guess my real question is would it damage my webcam if I left it on 24/7? Like if I were to leave it on Ichat would it damage...

Thanks,
sorry for the weird question.

girlfriend and I are in a long distance relationship. She's actually in another country... I dunno i guess this is the closest thing we can get to taking a nap together.. and we just wanna be able to leave it on at times just to kinda see whats up without having to call each other via skype or whatever other method. heh...

leaving the system and webcam on 24/7 isnt' much of a problem. However, I'm not sure for the hard drive. On my PCs, I noticed my hard drive would start to crap on me after a long period of time (I'm talking months here though).

i have thought of doing that too, but i just never got around to it... a "nap" is what.. max of 5 hours? that should be totally fine.

make sure you stick it on a desk or table not on the bed/couch .. anything soft will prob absorb heat and has the potential to block vents and cause some heat damage.

while placing a laptop on a bed or sheet isnt recommended, i have yet to hear on the net of someone having a heat problem with doing so.

that isnt to say that it wont run hotter on a bed/sheet, because it will for sure.
