I was recently given a inspiron 8600 with a booting problem. I know the cord is getting power to the system but when I hit the power button the three buttons in the center (cap locks etc... ) light up solid. About 5 seconds later the whole thing shuts down. Doesn't seem like the battery is charging either. I will see if there is fuse on the Mobo that is bad. Any other advice or similar experiences?
