Memory Slots on MacBook Pro?

I just wanted to know how many memory slots are on the new MacBook Pros. I have the 2.4Mhz 15.4-inch, 8600M GT. Currently I have 2GBs. I am guessing it is 2x1GB. What kind of combinations can you have? Could you ideally have a 1x2GB module and a 1GB module for a total of 3? Or is it best to have a 2 (1x2GB modules for a total of 4GB in two slots? Excuse my memory ignorance. Does a 1x2GB module take up one slot, so that another one take of two slots or, would they take up a total of four? Thanks.

Also, I would like to know where you can find a 1x2GB module for use in the MacBook Pros.

Would this work? http://www.cdw.com/shop/products/specs.aspx?EDC=967338

110$ much better.

2 slots total, can have up to 4gb (2x2gb). best to max out, not neccesary for most people though.

i have gskill 2x1gb in mine, no complaints.

i usually look for the lowest price, a lifetime warranty, and a WORKING internet site.

meaning i dont buy from companies that cant put together a decent website of their products. gskill is fine , or corsair most iwll say
