Can't format/partition or otherwise

Got an old 20 gig IBM Deskstar drive here that my friend screwed up somehow.

Thought it just needed to be partitioned and/or formated but when I ran Partition Magic it crashed and gave a weird error saying the partition table was all screwy.

Ran PM again from the DOS floppy and the drive showed up, but I can't do anything. Not even delete the partion thats there.

Is there a way I can fully erase this drive including the partition table and start from scratch?

Thanks

delpart or kill have worked for me in the past. http://www.russelltexas.com/delpart.htm can't find a link for kill right now.

Oh well I fixed it.
Had to dump it into another machine then I could delete the partition and reformat within windows.

Even before that I could read/write to the drive in explorer but it showed the 20 gig as only 1.43 gigs???.

Just threw me that partition magic was so non-responsive.

PM labels drive formats with a name and color (pink-ntfs,green-fat32) and it labeled this drive Format-BAD/Color-BRIGHT YELLOW.

bsmith-thanks for the link, probably would've saved me a couple hours of pain if I looked here sooner.
