Okay,

Over the past 3 days I have been looking at the 8790 and I have to say it looks awsome. I have a awsome 8890 as well but I have a sickness and if I see a better (or what I think is better) system. I want it. Now I have been looking for a reason to validate my decision to go to the 8790 and I think I have found it.

1. I use this system ALL DAY as I am a programmer by day and a gamer by night. I have it set to the native 1600x1200 and my eyes are killing me.

2. The 9700

3. The widescreen seems to give me some extra screen space, and looks amazing.

SO..........

In order for me to get one of these I need to sell my current Rock Solid 8890v.

I wish I could keep both but I cant due to $$.

So. Here are the specs of my system.

w00t's $2,000 offer is a valid offer/post, so let the seller tell him otherwise.

$2000 is way to low. I am starting to realize that I will never get an offer of what this baby is worth so it looks like Ill be keeping it. I wont take anything less that $2800.

Remember, this has 2 60gb 7200 rpm drives, that jacks the cost up.

One almost NEVER gets what something is worth when they sell it used, unfortunately. Most of us know the true value, but open markets are a fickle thing.

I do hope there is the right buyer out there for you, and you can connect with them on this.

Good luck!

Hmmm.... Computer are like new cars... drive them off the lot and they lose 30-40 %... Try and buy a used current model from a dealer... it only lost 10%

I have the same thoughts. Knowing their will be no upgrade from the 8890 like their was from the 8887 is dissapointing. But I know I will never get what I would need by selling my lappy to get a new one.
