So i just bought my HP dv9233cl notebook and it came with Windows Vista Home Premium edition OS. I don't want that OS so i am trying to install windows XP on it. The problem is that XP won't detect a hard disk so it can start the setup. It boots through the XP disk, loads some things, and then can't continue because no hard disk is detected. I have 2 Fujitsu MVH2120BH 120GB HD's linked I believe with ATA, not SATA. I have been searching all over the Internet for a solution: Do i need to configure them with a RAID Tool? Do i need to create a partition of some kind? Should I disconnect one and see if XP installs and then reconnect it? Is there something in the BIOS i need to change? Any and all help is appreciated.
