macbook maintenance

Hello,

Just got my macbook last week. very happy with it. Seem to be a few problems with firewire and the mic but not sure how i'm going to handle that yet..

Anyways i love my macbook and all (white one) but i'm so afraid to touch it without washing my hands or getting it dirty. I was going to get the rubber keyboard protector but i heard that causes problems with heat and leaves imprints in your screen when you close it.

I was just wondering if anyone seasoned macbook owners have any tips to keep their macbooks clean and looking like "new". I really don't want my palm rests to become discolored or my keyboard to turn yellow from all the dirt/oil from my fingers.

Any suggestions would be helpful.

thanks

Well, the keyboard won't turn yellow or anything, I've had mine for almost a year with nothing like that happening. And the discoloring I think is less than a problem with the newest MacBooks. However, should you find that it starts to get discolored, Mr. Clean Magic Erasers (or an equivalent) work really well to take care of the issue.
