yeah you should be able to select the new partition to install XP on it and on your startup it will show both operating systems and you choose which one you want to boot up too..

install them on xp and delete from vista?
yeah you may be able to pull them off the vista partition onto the XP partition but i dont know if you can since its VISTA.. Sorry i dont know much about vista i just dont like it...
It would probably be easier to just reinstall them..

also make sure you backup your files on the Vista to be on the safe side just incase something goes wrong...

I don't think anybody's thinking the 9750 will support the 8800, rather we are hoping it will.

I'm fairly sure the current m9750 will support DX10 cards, not just hoping. I don't think santa rosa will appear in the m9750 though...

I havent seen any reports stating that the motherboard for the m9750 cant have the 8800 cards

AW seems to operate on the same philosophy as Bilzzard Entertainment:
It will be released when it's ready.

My uninformed guess would be not until at least 08'.

I have no idea when they'll be available, but someone posted a press release from someone at AW France that talked about the 8800's being available for the m9750 in a few months if I remember correctly.

EDIT: I can't find the string...

I called Alienware yesterday about the upgrade of the 7950 GTX > 8800M.
The availability of the 8800M is confirmed for the end of July and the replacement of the video card will be done BY ALIENWARE, on request.

For me, it's simple : I buy the 9750 with only one 7950GTX and I will pass to a 8800M later…
Only one card is enough or my use.

David.

Why not just wait till the card comes out then buy the machine? By chance did they say what kind of card? GS? GTX?
