Well, it varies a lot... The biggest discounts are with preconfigured systems - they are 20-30% off usually, with a few even a bit more. All systems are at least 6% off, with most being at least 12% off. With the extended warranty (worth it with a laptop IMO), the discounts are even bigger. With the XPS 1710 red with a 4 year warranty, I got a total of just a hair over 25% off the normal price. All this is specifically through the University of Colorado - no guarantees about anywhere else... (I got Office Enterprise 2007 through my dad's work for $20 too
