just sitting at 3.2 right now. not really tweaking at all yet (running 325x10 FSB) giong to finish installing everything, create a ghost image & then begin to tweak. I figure I can hit 3.8 on air with this HS. Pulling 15.781 on Superpi mod 1.5, 1 mil

Haha, you certainly are the guy who plays with their system I imagine when I get my Q6600 I will probably not push it's clocks at all

well right now I am running 345 FSB 3.45GHz @ stock voltages, 55c under ORTHOS. Currently it's running stable. I imagine it will take a few more days for the AS5 to burn-in & drop temps.

SuperPi mod 1.5- (1 mil) 15.125 sec

I love how this thread totally derailed!

But on this note, keep pushing that baby (preferably after the burn in of AS5)

lol OT again

http://service.futuremark.com/orb/re...0&UID=10062887

13,041. running @3.51GHz 695/2.3GHz

Anyways, Don't expect DX10 to mature until next year (why I laugh at so many ppl jumping on the mobile DX10 bandwagon already) After Vista SP1 comes out & a few games are released & the updates begin to come in (DX 10b) I will grab a DX10 performance laptop. until then I will be happy with my 7950GTX.

Finally, someone that agrees 100% with me. Well I just thought about the fact that I'd have to use vista but I guess I could tweak it enough to be a good OS for gaming. Or, I could just wait for OGL to update.

...well 1 more OT FTW! The capabilities of this system on air cooling 2.66@3.85GHz

I like the background sol saw that on interfacelift the other day!

Also, nice OC you've got going there , what are your load temps?

EDIT: your timing beats mine 3 times over xD
post #74 of 77
idle 31.2c full load 53.1c

What's your thoughts about the next generation of the 17" iXPS, guys? Since it's sure gonna be a DX10-card, would you advice not to buy it?
personally I am going to wait until DX10 has matured. I imagine by then a 2nd gen notebook high-end DX10 card will be released. As I stated earlier, there is currently no advantage in getting DX10 for awhile on a lappy.

I agree with sol here. I am building a desktop with the 8.9 series of cards, however I am only doing it because of release dates of games that will require more power for the time being, and when newer, (PCIe X16 2.0) GPU's come out, then I think we will see a much larger unleashing of power in the GPU world. Along with this, more advanced laptop cards.
