Any deals on macbook pros?

I am a long standing windows user finally looking to buy my first mac. I am looking for a good deal on a macbook pro..

Anything out there?

From Apple, if you qualify, you can get the student discount, also the refurbs generally have really good discounts. Amazon usually offers a 100-150 dollar rebate. Some independent Apple sellers will offer printers or RAM or other things.

You really won't find any deals, however, as Apple controls the prices and companies aren't allowed to sell them for much more or less than Apple tells them.

buy a mac, sell an ipod. take 150$ off the price of the new mac, best deal youll get on a new machine for now.

as for refurbs, id recommend them, but you can only get the 667 Front side bus MBP for now.

i give apple 3 months to get the SR laptops in there.
