For some reason or another, my wife decided to disable the video adapter in Device Manager (XP) Now I get no video, and I can't get into safe mode for some reason.
Anyone have any ideas ??
I lose video once the XP splash screen is gone, therefore, I cannot get to my restore points.
Hooking up the monitor does the same thing.
If only there was a way to enable the video adapter via command prompt.
So, after the setup screen pushing F8 does nothing? I disabled the Display adapter in a system here, rebooted and it still displays default XGA, so what exactly did she disable?
We were in the process of changing the driver, and the current one was called Video Saver (or something close), she disabled that, now there is no video past splash screen, no matter what options you pick after F8.
