Acer 3690 BSOD'ing when launching games (Vista)?

I'm getting a BSOD while trying to run a few small indie games (reflexive arcade), Diablo II as well. The title will begin to load then I'll be taken to a BSOD shortly thereafter, the screen goes pretty quick and I'm unable to read it. A handful of other, similar games run fine, not sure what the issue is.

Acer 3690
Win Vista Home 32bit
Intel Celeron M 1.6GHz
512 Ram
Mobile Intel 945GM Express
/Help is appreciated, thank you.

Disable the restart on blue screen, so you can get the error messages. I'm sure you can Google for instructions how to do this

I managed to pull the error code off the BSOD but haven't been able to find anything on Microsoft's site:

0x0000008e (0xc0000005, 0x88a503b9, 0xa5662538, 0x00000000)

Thanks.

Most pages seems to indicate some kind of memory problem. May need to use Memtest to check the RAM
