I've been pretty satisfied with the laptop and dell so far. After the system was ordered, I called in to make sure that the gig of ram was on one dimm instead of two dimms of 512 so that I can upgrade to 2 gigs by myself (this was before the free 2g ram and hd upgrade

). I also asked them to include an OS disk along with a drivers cd so I can do a clean install. After I received the system, I did see the cd's I asked for, but as soon as I tried to upgrade the ram, I saw that there were two sticks of 512 in there instead of the one stick I had called in to make sure it had. I called dell immediately afterwards, and the representative I talked to was very nice and sent out a free stick of 1g of ram at no extra charge and didn't even ask me to send back the other two sticks. After the clean install, the system is running very smoothly. I decided to keep the recovery partition on there just in case anything might happen in the future, but I did partition the rest of the disk into two drives, one for the OS, and the other for general storage.
