t's the digital screen above the keyboard that by default displays the time. you can change it if you want through, i think, the console. well, it does not light up at all from the time i turn the device on until i shut it down.

every time I start up windows, a little pop up screen will say "LCM device not found" or some such thing. it will pop up a few times.

recently i upgraded the laptop to vista which I got free in the mail for buying this thing between the right dates. LCM worked fine at that point.

then I upgraded my laptop to XP from vista because there were a lot of features that i missed. It worked fine after XP install and driver install.

after a week or so of using xp again i stopped seeing the LCM light up and got that error message at windows start up - "LCM device does not exist".

2 assumptions:
LCM device is that little screen that flashes the time above your keyboard.
The LCM device going out had nothing to do with my OS dabacle.

Any advice? I'd like to fix it. I used it a lot when I was gaming to keep track of time.

would something like that be covered under warranty if it came down to it?

thanks in advance for any help
