how much is this reasonably worth?

I looked on ebay and the range is pretty big, anything between $40 and $300...so what do you guys think? I came into this situation b/c i'll (i think) be buying a new lappy in about a month (asus a8j most likely) for college (need something smaller/lighter than my current 258ka0)... and since on top of the uniwill i have a thinkpad.. i just can't justify owning 3 laptops. so think i am gonna ditch the thinkpad:

IBM Thinkpad T23 Type 2647
CPU: Intel Pentium 3 1133Mhz
RAM: Infineon 1GB PC133 (2x512)
HDD: Toshiba 30gb 5400rpm
Screen: 14.1" 1024x768
CD: 12x CDROM / 8x CD-RW
OS: NO OS
Comes with a battery (about 2 yrs old, still holds a decent 1.5 to 2hr charge) and a charger. There is a mini-pci slot for wifi but no wifi card is installed. Everything works (thinklight, volume and thinkpad buttons), no dead pixels, only major cosmetic blemish is a crack about 1 inch long starting @ the forward bottom left corner extending to the right but its not too bad.

seeing if i can logically pull together $1500 by early august for a new lappy... my job only pays ~$100/week.

May I first have you consider how many nerd points that Thinkpad will get you in college...seriously...

I'd price it around the $200-250 mark. Thinkpads are excellent laptops, but yours has a blemish and comes with no OS. Oftentimes people in the market for older laptops just need it for simple tasks and don't want to go through the effort of setting it up themselves. You will probably have an easier time selling it if it had an OS (maybe even Ubuntu with Open Office or something else that's easy to learn).

With the Damage 150~200 without Damage Nyako's price range 200~250. ABF knowing your skills I would try and pimp it as an Open source thinkpad and do a full load out of the most stable Linux flavor with open office.

well, its running PCLOS2007 right now pretty well (ubuntu hates thinkpads for some reason) and i actually use it almost every day for internet stuff. i mean i am almost more tempted to sell my uniwill rather than the thinkpad but being an unknown brand resale values are shitty... so since its newer its gonna be the "backup" lappy, thinkpad gets das boot, and whatever i end up getting will be my new b*tch,

I'd put it up w/ a starting bid of $150 and see where it goes.
