AReallyBigMan, I wish you had out something like **VOSTRO!!! OMG** in your thread title, now we are going to get 50 of these threads

Rumors? I don't post threads because I feel like dispersing erroneous information. If I post a new thread you can take it to the bank as fact.

And I don't have flash 'cause I uninstalled it

Anyway, the vostro sounds like a decent idea. Its a much more professional looking machine. I could use it at uni without feeling too protective.
I would choose it over the inspiron if its the same price/specs.

OK, I did it. Nice and annoying.

You can spec a 15" with 8600GT for under $1000. Not bad.

Yeah, Mr Evil shut it down. Most humble apologies for my mislaid intentions, oh Evil One.

it looks pretty thick. how thick is it?
All of the dimensions are on that page

Wow these seem to be a better deal than the inspirons, the 14" vosotro can be had with :
c2d t5470/vista basic/xga+/1gb/120gb/DVD+RW/8400gs/bluetooth/9 cell battery/3yr warranty
for $878 compared to an inspiron 1420 with:
c2d t5450/vista basic/xga+/2gb/160gb/DVD+RW/8400gs/bluetooth/9 cell battery/3yr warranty
is $1349, so you're paying an extra $500 for 1gb ram and 40gb hd space

Its a similar situation with the 17"ers but I will leave the price checking up to you
