ok everyone, i have a theoretical question. my lappy has been abused and used, and a while ago i dealt it another blow. it got dropped. everything internally works fine except the fan, but the screen is completely shot. i have a nice 17" monitor sitting above and behind the screen which works great, but i want to just completely get rid of the screen. the hinges are already broken off, i just want to know if i just cut all the wires leading to the screen and tape them off if it will affect anything or will everything still work fine? if not... how can i get rid of this broken screen so i can basically have a self-heating, oversized keyboard? thanks for any help
