You need to enter jumperfree config menu & set overclocking to manual. That should open up additional options.

Thanks!

Just another quick question. What do you use to monitor the temps of your computer? Just wondering since I'll have to leave behind I8kfangui when I get my new desktop.

I use RMclock to monitor when I am testing. once I verify using ORTHOS (great stress tester) I don't use anything.

well my card has a serious OC, though lol. A normal 8800 on an un-OC'ed system would score quite a bit lower so don't feel that bad lol.

Sol, I still can't believe that going from a 3ghz p4 dual core to a core duo e6400, jumped me 8K Points in 3dmark05....

I mean EVERYTHING is silky smooth man, now I just needa get me a 8800ultra to keep up with you.

I strongly urge you to wait for the 9 series to come out. Then you won't feel as if you spent on the newest and even newer stuff that's 2 times as powerful just raped your card

Hey, I have 3 drives in JBOD raid, and 1 drive for my OS...Curious, what is the FASTEST raid setup, cause I don't really care if the drives fail, I myself haven't had to many H/Ds fail cause i'm always reformatting every few months anyway.

I looked up the specs a 8800ultra non super Oc'd hits a 11,200 on 3dmark06, so that means i'm about 1800 behind, not to bad.

I've heard the new 9 series won't come out till Nov of next year. Thats too far, even for me.

edit: I heard from a moron. lol, Nov of this year.. Sounds alittle better.

unless you are runing dual screens 2560x1600 the 9 series will not do anything for you, not to mention the price tag associated with the 9 series when they first come out.

FYI I got my MSI 8800 Ultra OC ( 660/2300) which I bumped to 713 for $575 after a $40 rebate ( which I actually did recieve)

I suggest anyone looking for performance/$ look at the 8800GTS/GTX series.

I have my primary 32" 1360x768 LCD & my second is a 19" 1600x1200 LCD.

Yeah, haha, I was gonna say that it's november this year

I would say the 9800GTS will have equal or better performance than the ultra (causing a longer system life) for less than the ultras price tag

when the 9800 series comes out, ill shoot for a 8800 ultra for 300

keep dreaming. No way a flagship card of that series will get to $300
post #36 of 88
my 7950GX2 goes for 220$ now, so that 8800 ultra will be 300 when the 9800s are out

granted you wait about a year after initial release.......
Absolutly not, just wait and watch those prices drop..No long will I buy top current stuff. What is funny, once you kick up the resolution 1600x1200 my card keeps up with the ultra and GTS 640mb lol...Toms hardware has mine ranks in the top 3 on everygame at high resolution...

Yep, but it will never attain the capability of DX10
