I am looking to buy a decent but cheap laptop. So far the Dell Latitude D531 is in first place but I have also been looking at the Latitude D520, Inspiron 1501, and the Acer AS5050-3785. The D531 has the Ati Xpress 1270 card, the Inspiron 1501 has the xpress 1150 card, and the D520 has the Intel 945 card. The Acer has the Xpress 1100 card. Now the question is this: Will the 1270 in the Latitude D531 outperform the GMA 945 in the D520? And will the D531 also outperform the Acer and Inspiron?
The D531 would have the Sempron, the Inspiron a mobility athlon 64, the D520 a Core 2 Duo, and the Acer a Turion 64. Which computer will give the best performance? Are there any other computers I should be looking at?
