Why alienware won't make a program for this, i don't know. I even asked them and they said they have one for xp that microsoft made that doesn't work either, but vista is too new to have such a program... boo alienware, we shouldn't be having to figure this shit out on our own, i'm definitely not a computer programmer... nice computer though
I don't see any folders named 1, 2, and 3. In the HotStartButtons part I just have the (Default) value to play with.

this is for vista only sorry. i don't have xp installed. alcohol 316 are you using xp as well? i hope someone with xp cracks this for you as well. If you do a search in your registry for the program that those buttons execute it might lead you to the destination folder, just try looking through that with searches. that's how i found it on vista. good luck

*enthusiastic applause* I've been searching for this for a long time. I actually posted another thread on this website in hopes of an answer (somehow a search didn't turn this thread up, sorry for the repost). Thank you very much, your solution was spot on. Afterthought: I actually somewhat prefer this method to a utility, because I can set the keys to exactly what I want, not just a list of appropriate commands (TV button = WoW)
