Shopping for new Proc.....some help?

Ok, so I'm in the process of locating all the parts for my next desktop. I've pretty much got them all lined up. I'm just trying to see if I can find a better deal on the processor. I'm looking to get a Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 2.4Ghz proc and the lowest I've seen it for is around $220, without shipping costs. Does anyone here have a lower price they've found and would want to share? Let me know. If this is the lowest you've ever seen it, let me know that too. Thanks for the help ahead of time.

I think that is the lowest price around. However in (i think) 10 days, there will be an intel price drop so the E6600 will be cheaper. But if you are willing to spend $200-300 on the processor, the Q6600 (yes, quad core) will be dropping to that price range after July 22nd.

I have heard that rumor about the intel price drop, and i'm trying to wait. The question is whether my mother board will wait that long....

I'd make it wait that long or live without it for a few days. I saw the Q6600 on clubit.com for $325 the other day, but that was with a $150 rebate and it said it was an open box item. $325 is a sweet price for a quad though...

edit- just checked and it's still available. the wording makes it sound more expensive, but if you add to your cart it's $475 and has a $150 mail in rebate. sweet

I'd still wait...we're only talking 9 days wait here, and it'll be even cheaper than the above
