Turns off when on battery?

I have a Sentia 3200. Recently it started turning itself off when running on the battery. No warning when its gonna do it, might be 20 minutes, might be 20 seconds. It only does this when running on battery, never when AC is plugged in. After it shuts off the first time it wont start unless it is plugged in, or the battery is pulled off or replaced. If you pull the battery off and replace it, it will boot up but turns itself immediately back off when Windows starts to load. WTF? Do I need a new battery?

Sounds like a bad battery to me. What does window say when you look at the battery charge life?

It says its on AC power with a 100% charge. Now that you mention it, I just looked and less than a minute after I unplugged the AC power it went down 3%. I also noticed that when it is off, overnight or so, and I unplug the AC, when I plug it back in the battery seems to be dead. Oh well, I dont mind keeping it plugged in. Thanks for the response.
