new comp build help?

Thread Starter
i am beginning to think it may be time for a new comp. preferably something without vista, since it is such a memory hog and i want it mainly to be running photoshop, illustrator, dreamweaver, etc. i am thinking i may get something built, as everyone tells me it is zomgz sooo much cheaper. unfortunatley, i am not that good as to be able to get all the parts i need, and make sure they are compatible. perhaps someone here could help?

i am looking to stay around a grand, no more than $1500. fast gpu with lots of ram that can multitask graphics programs like adobe cs3.

any ideas are welcome.

check newegg.com http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/ makes laptops for around the price youre looking for that could do what youre wanting to do might want to check that out as well

having a lappy means not buying parts, and have a full warranty, and well youre on notebookforums.com so youll get help with it

Wouldn't suggest it. I've heard a couple horror stories from friends about them (every person who bought from them).

In the morning (or tonight if I get bored) I'll put together a cart for you.
