Oh I thought he was having the issue in vista too...he said he had the issue long before using vista but I see in the first post, he also said it never happened in vista.

Well, I've gone through TONS of drivers over this past year, most of the year I used XP. I've always associated artifacts with hardware I guess. Then when I used vista, albeit for a short time, I never had that problem but admittedly I didn't do too much gaming on it because I was kind of turned off because of the performance hit I took from Vista. Now I'm back to XP again. This problem doesn't happen ALOT, it maybe happened less than 10% of the time that I can remember. I'm not sure how to reproduce it, but most of the time it happens when I'm playing a game. It actually happened most while I was down in North Carolina for school, so maybe it had something to do with the temperature?

I had the NMI parity errors up the wazoo!!! And when playin a few games, there would be this white line at the bottom of the screen at all times. This all happended while i was using Dell Driver 84.69

I switched to a genuine Nvidia driver 84.63 and both issues have been resolved thank the lord.

In my case I experimented w/ the 84.63 driver for about a week, and afterwards I decided I would never use the stock dell drivers anymore becasue they were just a headache

However if all else fails for you Id see if they could get a replacement for you
